Configure the BlackBerry Mail Store Service to use a local system account
After you complete the BlackBerry® Enterprise Server installation process, you can change the account that the BlackBerry Mail Store Service uses to run to a local system account. If you do so, the BlackBerry Mail Store Service does not start and you cannot log in to the BlackBerry Administration Service unless you add the executables for IBM® Lotus® Domino® to the system environment variables.
Note: You cannot configure the BlackBerry Administration Service
services to use a local system account. The BlackBerry Administration Service
console cannot run when you configure the BlackBerry Administration Service
services to use a local system account.
Before you begin: Verify that the local system account has permission to access the Internet.
- On the computer that hosts the BlackBerry Enterprise Server, right-click My Computer. Click Properties.
- On the Advanced tab, click Environment Variables.
- Add the path to the IBM Lotus Domino installation folder to the Path system variable (for example, C:\Program Files\Lotus\Domino\nserver.exe)
- Click OK.
- Restart the computer.
