You can use the BlackBerry® Administration Service to install applications on BlackBerry devices over the wireless network, or you can permit users to download and install third-party applications on their BlackBerry devices. You can remove applications from BlackBerry devices over the wireless network, and you can also prevent users from downloading applications.

You can use standard application control policies or create custom application control policies to specify the resources that third-party applications can access on BlackBerry devices (for example, message, phone, and key store).

You can create IT policies that specify the types of connections that third-party applications on BlackBerry devices can establish (for example, opening network connections inside the firewall).
