Process flow: Viewing content

  1. A Chalk™ Pushcast™ Player user receives a notification email message when an author assigns content to the user.
  2. The Chalk Pushcast Player user must click the link in the notification email message on their BlackBerry® device to install the Chalk Pushcast Player.
  3. When the installation completes, the Chalk Pushcast Player user clicks the Chalk Pushcast Player icon on the Home screen of their BlackBerry device to open the Chalk Pushcast Player.
  4. The Chalk™ Pushcast™ Software receives an HTTPS request through the BlackBerry® Mobile Data System, the BlackBerry® Internet Service, or TCP to authorize the BlackBerry device.
  5. The authorization process verifies the email address and PIN on the BlackBerry device.
  6. The Chalk Pushcast Player extracts all the email addresses and PIN from the BlackBerry device, encrypts the data, and then sends the data to Chalk Pushcast Software.
  7. The Chalk Pushcast Software receives the encrypted email addresses and PIN and authenticates the email address that belongs to the Chalk Pushcast Player user.
  8. The Chalk Pushcast Software sends the content to the Chalk Pushcast Player on the BlackBerry device.
  9. The Chalk Pushcast Player user selects the content that they want to view from the list in the Chalk Pushcast Player on the BlackBerry device.
  10. The Chalk Pushcast Player retrieves the content from the cache on the BlackBerry device.
  11. The Chalk Pushcast Player user views the content.
