I cannot update the Chalk Pushcast Player for BlackBerry Enterprise Server 4.1

Possible cause

An administrator updated the Chalk™ Pushcast™ Player and did not run loader /index from the AppLoader directory in the command prompt.

Possible solution

  1. At the command prompt, in <drive>:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader, type loader /index.
    Note: The command prompt does not provide a confirmation or response to the command. You can verify that the specification.pkg file and PkgDBCache.xml file are in the MobileChalkboard folder to confirm that the appropriate changes occurred.
  2. In the BlackBerry® Manager, select BlackBerry Domain.
  3. On the Software Configurations tab, right-click the software configuration for the Chalk Pushcast Player.
  4. Select Edit Configuration.

If the Chalk Pushcast Player version is not the latest version, remove the application folder, create a software configuration for the Chalk Pushcast Player, and associate the appropriate application control policies with the Chalk Pushcast Player.
