Best practice: Network connectivity for a test environment
The test environment does not have to be connected to the Internet, but it must have an internal network for computers to communicate.
A test environment must have, at minimum:
- messaging environment that includes the messaging server and, depending on the messaging server that your organization uses, multiple computers
- BlackBerry® Enterprise Server environment, including multiple computers, if necessary in your organization's environment
- computer that hosts the testing console and hosts the software you need to automate tests and issue control commands
- test environment that includes the BlackBerry® Infrastructure and Smartphone Simulator and the load generator for the messaging server on separate computers
The network that hosts the test environment must have a DNS server.
