If your organization anticipates 1500 or more BlackBerry® Mobile Voice System users, or if users are associated with PBXs in different geographic locations, you should consider installing multiple BlackBerry MVS Server instances. If your organization uses a single BlackBerry MVS Server in these circumstances, users could experience latency or reduced quality of voice services.

Your organization's BlackBerry MVS environment can include only one BlackBerry MVS Server instance that connects to the BlackBerry® Enterprise Server and runs the BlackBerry MVS Connection Service. The installation application installs the BlackBerry MVS Connection Service on all BlackBerry MVS Server instances. It does not start the service on those BlackBerry MVS Server instances that do not connect to the BlackBerry Enterprise Server.

If your organization plans to install multiple BlackBerry MVS Server instances, each BlackBerry MVS Server instance requires its own media gateway, dial plan, and BlackBerry MVS database.
